Questions about price.
Is the beta really free?
Yes. Everyone in the early beta gets the whole app, every capability unlocked, at no cost while the beta runs. We will say what happens for beta users well before it ends, and nothing you record is ever locked away: export stays free.
What does the free version limit?
The number of tracks. After the beta, the free version lets you create one track, and the full version has no limit. One track still gets the whole learning loop: lessons, practice, checks, reviews and the evidence behind every state.
Why one payment and not a subscription?
You already pay for the model, to your provider, or nothing with a local one. So we charge for the system once, and it is yours to keep. No renewal, no lapse.
Do I pay for the AI model as well?
Yes, to the provider and not to us, unless you run a local model, which costs nothing per request. An API key is a separate product from a chat subscription and is billed by usage. Rheticus shows what each request cost and lets you set spending caps.
What happens to my data if I never pay?
Nothing is deleted, hidden or held back. Your record stays on your computer, and export stays free.
What will the full version cost?
The price is not set yet. It will be published, in rupees, dollars and euros, before anyone is asked to pay.
Is there a student offer?
Yes. Students get half off the full version, which is then theirs for good like any purchase. Apply from your Rheticus account with your college email address, or with your college ID card if your college gives you no email. Many colleges are approved at once; the rest are checked by hand, usually within two days. An ID card is deleted 30 days after the decision.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Within 14 days of paying, for any reason. The licence ends and Rheticus goes back to the free version; everything you recorded stays.
On how many computers can I use it?
Two, at the same time. You can move the licence from one computer to another from your account.
Do I need an account?
Not to use the app: the free version needs nothing. To join the beta, apply for the student offer or keep a licence, you sign in to your Rheticus account with Google or a code by email. Your licence and the computers it is on are listed there.
